Every time I came in to receive the products that I was told were ready and they did not have them. The store could use some air freshener and padding to the flooring. Miss when they sold music in store. Thankfully their neighbor Barnes and Noble does. I received confirmation that 5-items would be delivered by 9pm. Hours later, I received a text message that one item was delivered, but no item was delivered. Then I received a text message that Roadie was making a delivery. I called Roadie, was on hold for 40 minutes, and finally hung up and called the Murray store. I was on hold for 35 minutes before they answered and we were disconnected. I received an email that the rest of the items would be delivered by various delivery methods within the next few days. As a TotalTech member, this is a terrible customer experience. Don’t pay to be a Total Tech member, it is not worth it. You will not receive better service. I bought a TV from this place yesterday on a pretty good deal. I also got the geek squad protection plan with it for $300. The associates helped me load my TV into the car and laid it flat on its back and said it would be fine. Well it wasn’t fine. We got home and the TV was broken. I did some research and didn’t know that TV’s needed to be transferred upright and no associate ever mentioned that fact. Now I have a broken tv, the protection plan does nothing, and I am out $2000. I am never shopping here again and I make full suggestion you don’t either.
A few employees are very friendly and willing to answer product questions (if you can find someone). We had a question about a tablet and the guy we eventually were able to find was very knowledgeable and friendly. However, we had a hard time finding someone for the in-store pickup. Eventually, someone resentfully showed up to help us. This store does NOT have a good selection. We were told to buy online or go to Riverton or SLC stores to see items in person.
Purchased an iPhone 13 Pro screen protector from Best Buy with the lifetime warranty for replacements. Went to get it replaced today and was told it’s no longer in stock. In order to get a new one, I will need to pay $40 to ship it to the store, but that can be refunded (no thank you to floating BB my money). So instead, they are shipping one to my house, but I had to give them the broken screen protector in the meantime. So now I’m without one until the new one arrives. T-Mobile did lifetime replacements and shipped them as well, but you keep the broken one for protection! Makes way more sense!! Super upset with this unfortunate policy. Frustrated I chose Best Buy for the convenient location over sticking with T-Mobile this time. More frustrated Best Buy employees we’re not more transparent with this policy when I made the purchase in the first place. If this was an old phone, I could be more understanding. But it’s not.
Prices weren’t as bad as I was expecting for small electronics. Parking lot is huge, but it is for several companies so it gets hard to find good parking. If you do need any help in the store you will have to find someone and ask, staff won’t come up to you.
It’s insane how much things have changed over the last few years. There is no such thing as customer service anymore. I stood in that store for nearly an hour staring up at TVs today, ready to buy, but I couldn’t get a sales person to even glance my way. I’m sure Best Buy gets a lot of people who are just looking, but I’m not one of them. I have some questions and need help deciding what to spend my money on, but the sales staff are MIA. I like Best Buy, I don’t want to see it go the way of circuit city, so I’m going to try again next week when I get back in town. But if I still can’t get any help then I guess Amazon will win again.
