Love this Best Buy Store! Bought several items from it and staff is very friendly in there. It’s a medium sized store I would say and they have many diverse tech items. I bought a GPS here that cost me close to $300. I immediately went to my vehicle to plug it in and try it. The GPS didn’t work. I went to return it at customer service and the worker there tried it out and he called me over to show me that it worked. Turns out that the adapter for the car was defective. It wasn’t the GPS. The GPS worked fine when plugged in the store in an outlet. He told me that I can keep it and just charge it up at home then I can use it. I told him I need the adapter to work because the GPS will drain the battery. Why in the world would I want to pay full price for a whole GPS kit with a defective part. Does that make any sense? Natalie an African American woman who claimed to be a manager was extremely nasty to me in front of my 10 year old son!! She possess zero customer service skills and I hope that she is not teaching the staff the same poor customer service skills she has!!! But I am an African American woman and I watched her give a Caucasian male the best customer service she could muster up!! So maybe she does have customer service skills and I was not the race she likes to give customer service to!! Sony rep Jackie was there and was very informative about the Sony products. Went in looking to just replace the bad TV in our camper, ended up deciding to move the house TV into the camper and totally upgraded the house TV and sound bar, with Sony products of course.
Check out with Best Buy employee was just as easy. A few days ago our laptop slid off the front seat of the car and now it won’t turn on. As a member of their Total Protection plan I thought Geek Squad would take a look at it. A young man by the name of Larry came to help us. He looked at the computer and said, “we don’t work on anything less than a windows 10”. The computer is 10 years old and is running windows 10 and worked great up until the fall. He looked at it with disgust and said again that they don’t work on something this old. He said the repair would cost as much as a new one.
How did he know that? He never even tried the power button.
As a member of their program at least have the courtesy to open the back and appear to be concerned.
Totally disappointed with this service.
We left the store and dropped it off at a repair location not far from Best Buy. The young man was pleasant and although he didn’t seem to have too much hope of getting it working, he said to leave it and he would take it apart the next day. Bought an appliance one time, had problems with the first one delivered, had a dent & didn’t even work. We had to get another one & another delivery date & change our work schedule to make it work a 2nd time. But it all worked out, delivery guys were nice & helpful.Another time I bought a phone online, it had a problem. So had to go to the physical store to get it replaced. But somehow it got cancelled since the store ran out. So had to make calls to customer service, had to go repurchase the phone & repurchase the protection plan & had to try get the sale price I originally bought phone at so it was a hassle and took time away from things…
But otherwise, good service on the workers part!

I did my homework and came prepared to compare washing machines and I still learned more. Two different associates were there to help me make the decision. I was also helped through the warranty decision and I ended up financing it instead of putting it on a credit card. A wonderful experience.
