Walmart always have pleasant workers. They may not talk too much, but still polite n pleasant. The jobs can b very stressful, but workers do manage. I do most of my grocery shopping at Walmart n all my medications too. The pharmacy could stand some improvement in their ability

Adding this picture because of a rude “Karen” over loss prevention said I couldn’t. Walmart employees think they are way more important than they are.

Today (12/19/22) I came in this morning and talked to Steven (team lead in the morning). Because I came in the previous day and left my candles here in the store that I paid for. I brought my receipt, and he told me that he couldn’t get ahold of a guy to review the camera but that someone after 3pm would review it. So I left my name and number and he said someone would call me. No one called so I came in again around 4-4:30ish because I hadn’t received a call. I spoke with Angela (team lead) and she made me aware that the previous team lead didn’t inform anyone of my inquiry. So Angela got in touch with the guy who was working surveillance to check the cameras. Upon him coming out of the office. He’s completely rude to me, dismisses me and puts his hand up in my face. I was not rude or unruly while in the store so his gestures were completely unwarranted. And the only reason I don’t switch and go to the other Walmart is because of how nice Angela was and handled the situation.

I’m so tired of wandering aimlessly through this store for hours trying to find something. You clearly can’t retain employees because no one knows where things are. Do not ask me to use the stupid app. I am not interested in being tracked. Get wireless payments. I’m not using “Walmart Pay.” It’s 2022.

Addition: Went to buy a charger to find yet another thing was behind glass and a fellow customer trying to find assistance with a gift card. The employees left have to sprint walk all over the store. Walmart needs to learn how to respect their employees and the people they supposedly serve. The people staffed in this location can not physically help the number of people that need assistance especially when you make it impossible for customers to pick items off the shelf and I can promise you our disgust will be directed, not at managers or employees, but squarely at the board of directors and large scale investors. Staff your stores. Pay your employees. Cut your executive pay, stock buybacks, and cut your dividends. The Walton family is doing fine. All it takes are a couple incompetent leaders to undermine years of PR and the team is doing a fabulous job running this company into the ground. Also no, it’s not a work shortage and you don’t need to “raise prices.” Those of us who listen to your earnings calls and listen to you brag to investors will be sharing our experiences and your executive’s words. For those needing a cheap grocery alternative, I’ve started going to Aldi just down the road and they take Apple Pay! I will update this when I find a local electronics and furniture store but it may be back to online for now. Those needing auto work including tire rotations and oils changes I have had an excellent experience at Porters Tire Store also very close by.

Even on Christmas Eve, it was nice to find Associates that were willing to help (and with a smile 😁 on their faces)!

Update: as of December 2022, ordering online is hot or miss with getting all of your items. Helpful tip: even though they let you know what they don’t have on your order, double check what you’ve received against your receipt, as I’ve been charged for items that I didn’t get. (Just happened again last night, after my pick up time was delayed by 2 hours! There’s nowhere on the app to get a refund for what you paid for but didn’t receive, and no, it’s not being shipped!) 😕

Staff is always rude. I have never stolen anything from this store but seems every time I walk through their doors -someone is always following me. It makes me feel uncomfortable and quite frankly makes me want to not shop in there. I enjoy shopping, looking, comparing prices, but when I do this- I’m followed as if I’m trying to steal. Beginning to hate Walmart

Walmart has it all!…HOWEVER the “low prices” for me personally are offset by the fact hundreds of shoppers are forced into a limited number of self-checkouts, OR only have two live check-out lanes available. For a store this size, its ridiculous. For general household goods and food shopping I definitely prefer EW James. The final cost “may be” higher, but the experience is much better.

I absolutely love Union City wal mart. People are friendly and exceptional. Knowledge of the store. I asked for a particular item and was told exact location. Door greater was very polite to all that came in. I live in Dyer County and would rather drive 45 miles out of my way then go to Dyersburgs wal mart.

I would write a one star review, but the manager thankfully made it right. I ordered a vaporizer from Wal-Mart. I gave instructions to not just set the package on my side porch, but leave it in the dog kennel because there are a lot of stray dogs in the area and packages tend to get chewed and damaged. The delivery guy did not read the special instructions and left it on the porch. I came home to the box totally chewed up and the cord was chewed up, leaving no way to use the vaporizer. I told my story to the gal at the service desk and she kept arguing with me that it is not their fault and I would not get my money back. The manager, Jacob, got involved and I am glad because he solved my problem with a friendly smile. I don’t know what the girl’s name was, but she does not need to be involved in customer service and I hope corporate figures that out soon.

Self-checkout is CHAOS simply put! Looks more like a cattle corral & operates similarly! Bluebird by Amex/Walmart is scam. Supposed 2b free withdrawal at money pass 🏧. FSNB says hell no u gotta pay $3.50 then BB aka Walmart charges extra $2.50! 6$ of MY 💵 4 greedy a$$ rich people! Walmart prob getting kickback from FSNB! Should be illegal. I tweeted but Walmart, Bluebird & FSNB are crickets on this… So I left and spent NOTHING! I can look over dirt & dumpiness. Makes me pine 4 days of K-Mart (that’s what remodel looks like)! No wonder it’s not 24hrs anymore. Pandemic is over, hello 💉. Prices are crazy high, low to no stock, grumpy employees & shoppers are worse. I stopped shopping at w. Market b/c girl accused me of stealing when I asked for cash back on a $25 debit card return! Amazon I’ll be back…

I actually like this Walmart the people have always been nice. The only problem is they got rid of most of the cashiers for self checkout and in store pickup of online orders. They did this in order to promote and have people use the parking lot pickup. The problem is it doesn’t seem like they transitioned any staff from the cashier pool or adequate staff to man the parking lot pickup. Seems to me if you were trying to get people to utilize that service extensively you would ensure you have it staffed adequately. I’ve been there three times to do parking lot pickup and all three times there have been someone next to me who had been waiting over an hour and twice the people ended up leaving after they checked in, subsequently contacted the posted number and then finally just gave up and left. I know this because both times a few minutes later they came out with the person’s stuff and I had to tell him they left. If you’re going to promote something and you want people to use it it is best to insure you make it a positive experience at the beginning and you adequately staff it so people are not waiting hours for their pickup. If they did that it would be a wonderful service. I feel bad for the limited staff that are actually working the parking lot pick up because they’re having to take all the grief from the customers and they can only work so fast. Especially given Christmas time and people are in a rush. I know most people don’t mind waiting a little bit but if you’re waiting for over an hour in your car especially if you have children with you or a dog. It’s easier just to go into the store get your stuff and come out. Plus you get the exercise of walking. LOL. Just my constructive criticism.

I recently bought two items. They are changing expiration dates on meat. The meat smelled awful. I also bought a pie which must have been thawed and refrozen. They had marked it down but it was well within the expiration limits. I had to throw both away. Be careful or don’t shop there at all. They have raised they’re prices so shop around.

I placed an order with a pick-up time between 7-8pm. At 7:11, my app showed that the order was delayed. When I arrived at 8:10, I called the number on the sign at the pick-up spot and received no answer. I waited for a worker to arrive at another car and inquired about my order. I was told that the order had not been started and that I might want to come back the next day. Second time this happened to me. Sad, because during the Pandemic, Walmart had the best pick up service.

Electronics department was chaotic, the line was intolerable. Only had 1 cashier working back there and he was literally physically disabled, and tried his best to help everyone with constant trips to the phone case, while stocking shelves. My complaint is not on that individual, but the manager/staff should have scheduled more employees during holiday season to better serve customers in that area.

I went there to get my oil changed on 08/20/2022. We got there at 2:15 and there where 4 cars in front of me. 2 were already halfway through the oil change. They do oil changes 2 at a time so I figured around 1hr maybe 1hr 20mins tops because there was 4 or more people working out there. We did not get done until 5:15pm! 3hrs is ridiculous and then I get out to the vehicle and there is oil all over my door and door handle and interior door handle and steering wheel. I asked the tech if they had any cleaner and a rag to clean it off and he acted like I insulted his mom. He sent a guy out there with an old shop rag and nothing else to wipe it off. Absolutely ridiculous. The only person I had a good experience with was Tommy. He was very nice and well mannered and got the appointment set up for me. Will not go back there.

Very nice older lady ,sorry didn’t catch her name at the self checkout. Always there it seems and always helpful and friendly
Clearance prices are too high. Barely considered a sale price. When clearsnce should 40 percent or more off .

DO NOT BUY PHONES FROM THIS WALMART REGARDLESS IF ITS A GOOD DEAL OR NOT. Not worth the hassle or horrible treatment. Was there last week to pick up a few groceries and purchase a new phone as mine has been giving me fits. Employee over in the phone department was very rude and unhelpful. Sold me a new phone but told me I would have to go to my carrier to get my number switched over and data transferred. Come to find out they had added a brand new number to my account. If they don’t want to do their job why even be there? My sister works for a phone company so I’m aware that they make commission, seems like they just want to do half their job to make the money and could care less about their customers. When I called to make a complaint their manager did not seem to care and was very hateful. Shameful of Walmart to allow such bad business. Will be reaching out to Better Business Bureau.

I tried using a gift card at checkout that had $50 on it. The cashier lady didn’t know how to do it so she called for someone with a key. After waiting for awhile and no one showed up I just told her I would just pay with my debit card…. I didn’t realize she had messed up and not only did I pay with my debit card but also lost $50 off the gift card.. really need to train cashiers better and have more helpful employees….

Shelve were mostly stocked. Employess stepped over food products on the floor, so I bent over and picked them up. 2 cashiers at full service check out lanes and 4-5 customers in each lane. Wal Mart does not care about its customers, only $.

The automotive shop manager, Lloyd, was amazing. He went above & beyond to help my daughter in law with a flat tire near closing time. We hated to arrive so close to closing, but it was an emergency. He was professional, kind, and patient. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I truly hope his employer knows what a good employee they have in him. The employee working with him, Micah, was friendly and helpful as well. They really made an upsetting situation as good as it could be. We are forever thankful to them.

Overall the store was clean and for the area, a steady traffic flow. I gave this a three star because I’m old school and think human interaction is important, especially in this day and age where everyone is always on their phone to communicate. The store had only one actual checkout lane open and the rest, self check out. Giving the customer only two options. Do it yourself or wait in the long line. Not everyone is for this new idea. I personally don’t care either way but I had questions tonight and had to go to two different places for help because there wasn’t anyone to talk to. Walmart has always been for the customer, even if not every employee acts like it. Cutting back on cashiers is not ideal in my opinion for a store this busy.

If you have a question don’t bother calling them because they will never answer, and when they do they immediately put you on hold. I was on hold for almost an entire hour before a recorded message said “good bye,” and just hang up. The customer service here is just terrible because the employees look bothered when you ask for help or information. It really makes you feel like a pest for asking for help, and combined with their expensive prices it makes you not want to shop their again.

I have never had a bad experience here with the employees. However, one of the managers named April is a horrible manager! You DO NOT belittle your employees EVER!! Especially in front of customers. It is not there job to fix register problems, especially when it requires a manager to do it! Respect goes a long way!

If you always dreamed of being a minimum wage cog in a huge soulless corporate big box store, have we got a store for you. Restrooms are always being cleaned so plan on having to go to the other one when you get to the one your closest to. Far from being fully stocked, You can put in an 8 your shift shopping for what you want only to find you now have to check yourself out while an able bodied associate stands over you like a vulture to make sure you don’t miss anything. Always ask them when your getting your W2, they love it. Now after all that you have to get your hard to push left veering cart double checked on the way out the door because after making you check yourself out, they don’t trust you enough to let you leave without being interrogated. Avoid at all costs unless you just want to run your day.
