I just had to delete a rave review I wrote about Target, specifically the customer service area. I would like to preface this with the fact that I think they sell the best Papyrus Cards in the area.
However, I returned an item with the proper paperwork and could not get the proper amount put back on my credit card no matter what. I showed her the paperwork I printed off, then I showed her the order and the receipt on my phone. No luck. She gave me SOME on the credit card and then made up the rest on a gift card. WHAT? No thanks.By diane borenstein (2 weeks ago)I drove an hour to pick up an order, only to have the wrong item…called the Charlottesville store for 2 hours and NO department will answer the phone. This is not the first, second or third time this has happened. You can call when they first open, during the day or at closing and no one ever answers. Corporate did nothing either. Now I have to make another hour trip to and from. Extremely poor customer serviceBy Anissa C. Kindred (2 months ago)For the love of god please, please they play the absolute worst country music here. The target is fantastic, well organized and cleaner than most, it please please change the music.By Joshua Winslow (in the last week)Don’t go here! If you aren’t rich, they won’t help you. Associates will walk past you, ignoring you, if you ask for help/assistance!
NEVER go to this Target!
I spent over a half hour trying to get help. Had 3 associates walk past in a group, they didn’t bother to offer help when I asked.
I guess Amazon is my only option now….
A five hour line to checkout and you won’t open registers or let people with ONE electronics item check out in electronics. Maybe get rid of those cash registers?!By Rick S (3 weeks ago)I frequently shop at Target and have found it very useful for stocking up on household/cleaning supplies and kitchen supplies -e.g. paper towels, Swiffer dusters, laundry detergent, candles, wax melts, storage containers, etc.
I recommend getting a Target account online so you can keep track of your previous orders and your favorites. I often use their “pick up” option, because if you make an order online with items that are in stock at the Charlottesville store, they will have it available within 2 hours. Tip: use the Target app so you can show your pickup barcode when you get to the customer counter. You can also opt to “drive up” and have the staff put your items in your trunk. For now, this is free, and I hope it stays this way! It is very convenient.
My only main complaint & reason for not using Target for everything is that their fresh produce section is basically non-existent, and every time I try to buy food, I have to check the expiration dates for every individual item. I have OFTEN found expired food on the shelves. You have to be vigilant about this! I have seen dairy products on the shelves that are over a few weeks past expiration date. If you want any fresh produce, fruits/veggies, or good, fresh baked bread, I would recommend Harris Teeter instead.By Margaret Efron (5 months ago)
